Chip founded Franklin Partners in 1994 to guide private company owners to better outcomes in the sale of their companies.

Chip's founding principle was to use his business experience and knowledge of larger companies' behavior to serve private companies with integrity and transparency. Today, Franklin Partners is a team of experienced advisors with complementary experience and the same dedication to our clients’ success.
Prior to Franklin, Chip worked for Owen-Illinois, Inc., Econotherm Energy Systems Corporation, and was a founder and president of Franklin Investments, Inc., a private holding company.
He continues to serve on boards of public companies and non-profit organizations. Chip is a graduate of Grinnell College (B.S.) and the Booth School of Business of the University of Chicago (M.B.A.).
